If you have read my previous post they you may have followed me at my earliest stage of blogging. I did mention a very short introduction of myself, from what study I finished, what my passion is and what my heart desires.
I always believe that something happens for a reason. A reason bigger than our reality is a huge part of asking ourselves the "Why" question.
Let's start with; why do we study - to finish and get good job. Why we need to have a good job? - To earn and save money. Why do you save money? - For our own future and to have a business of our own when time comes.
When you ask a typical individual, those may or may not be their common answers. Most of us know that people in the business have a better life than a typical employee working 8am-5pm. Business people having their own time, that they don't have a boss, and they just can do what they wanted to do. That's what a typical person would think, right?
In reality that's really not 100% the case. In business, you work more than the 8am-5pm time-frame because you have to manage and oversee the operation. In business, your clients are all your boss. And in business you can only do what's left with your time. In comparison, it's still easier to be an employee than having your own business.
That's why you need to ask yourself the "WHY" or the reasons why you want to take the road-less-travelled. When you know it's more difficult, more time needed and specially the resources it needs and putting yourself up with the physical and mental stress at start. If you're reason are just mere and light, then it might not work out, tendency is to quit because you know there is an easier path. Sometimes things are difficult at first and becomes easier in the long run and those easy things we are used to because difficult in the long run.
The reason why I am doing this is simple, I wanted to have a better life. It may sound broad and I bet everybody wants the same but different people take different course of actions. I wanted to educate myself with financial literacy inorder for me to understand how I can make my resources work for me instead of me just working for them. Having a better life doesn't really mean having too much savings, having an expensive house, lots of cars, or any material satisfaction.
For me, having a better life is doing what you love to do without the heavy feeling or worry too much about the future. Yes it's true that we don't know what future lies ahead but we can plan what future we want in our life. Yes it's also true that there are uncertainties that we can't avoid, but I know with proper planning we can compensate those uncertainties to a point that if those things happen we have something ready.
There are choices in our lives at different times. There will be no human standards that will say what you do today is right or wrong there are only results. Self evaluation is important because inorder to change the result you need to choose your decisions wisely. As for me, this is another chapter in my life, getting serious about getting my way to financial freedom! - my first step is to create my - emergency fund
